Book Summary
Thomas A Kempis said, “We must develop our skill as carefully as an artist if we want to live intimately with Jesus.” When Randy White’s friend fell ill, he decided that he would pray for him weekly for a year, but not in some endless repetition of “God, please heal my friend.” He would labor over his prayers, not only in the praying but in the crafting, using the language of the heart. Remarkable things began to happen, things that all of us who pray for loved ones could learn from. Historic poetic prayers from across the centuries and from many cultures are included, as well as insights for crafting your own poetic intercessions.
Recommendations
These vivid and imaginative pictures bring into clear focus specific and spiritual needs in words that help us to envision precisely what our friend requires and how God might reply.
