John Oldfield was a pastor in rural Levant, KS, for seven years and a church-planter and pastor in urban and then suburban York, PA, for over thirty-four years. He served as a preacher, teacher, counselor, coffee-house manager, television and radio broadcaster, event organizer, street minister, prison visitor, police chaplain, evangelical spokesperson, short-term missionary, and promoter of global evangelization. His ministries in York drew extensive coverage by the local media and resulted in several awards from secular entities. Born both physically and spiritually in Oak Park, IL, he is a graduate of the College of Wooster (B.A.) and Denver Seminary (M.Div.). He and his wife Dagmar have four children and four grandchildren and now live in Surprise, AZ.
